This place is associated with the Middle Ages like no other. Even today, the town center is surrounded by historic castle walls and amazes its visitors. But that's not all, a new castle is being built here - in a primitive/histric way. The small town of Hirt near Friesach is traditional but also culinary. One of the largest > private breweries in Carinthia is well known to many beer connoisseurs. The Craigher chocolate factory, on the other hand, is not at all old-fashioned.
